Ranch to 2 Story with In-law Suite
The original home was a 2 bedroom 1950's ranch with a 1990 addition in the rear. The Owners wanted to age in place. The new second floor is the daughter's "reverse" in-law suite with 2 bedrooms and living spaces. The new entry addition has a stair tower with a separte entry door into the living space and the in-law suite at the top of the stairs. The wrap around porch completes the conversion from a ranch to farmhouse with a flowing, ordered design.

The original house can be seen below the new second floor. The stair tower is being constructed on the right. An original structural problem was discovered by us and included in the renovation construction.
The new front porch now continues the line of the side porch which was part of the original home. The new roof lines frame the stair tower.
